SpinHub Profit Calculator: A Guide to Estimating Your Spin & Go Earnings

How much can you actually earn playing Spin & Gos?

There are a lot of different factors that go into the answer. Your cEV, volume, rakeback and, depending on your setup, your share of jackpot multipliers can all have a significant impact on your expected earnings.

The SpinHub Profit Calculator lets you put all of these numbers together and get an estimate of what your earnings could look like over a given number of games.

Understanding the results

In our example above, the two numbers to focus on when estimating your total earnings are Pool EV and Pool EV with Rakeback.

Pool EV represents your EV based on cEV, games and multiplier allocation.

For example, let’s say you play the 6,500 games shown above and finish the period with exactly €0 in net winnings. Your Pool EV at €976. This means the pool would send you €976.

The same principle applies if your actual winnings are different:

  • If your net winnings are -€500, the pool would send €1,476 to bring your result up to the €976 Pool EV.
  • If your net winnings are €900, the pool would send an additional €76.
  • If your net winnings are €2,000, you would send €1,024 to the pool, as your actual winnings are €1,024 above the Pool EV.

In simple terms, the Pool EV represents result for the pool period, and the difference between your actual net winnings and that EV is settled with the pool.

What about Rakeback?
Rakeback is not part of the pool or its calculations.

The Pool EV with Rakeback figure simply adds the expected rakeback to your Pool EV, giving you an estimate of your overall earnings based on the metrics you entered.

This is useful when planning your grind because it lets you see not only what PoolEV itself is expected to be, but also what your combined earnings could look like after including rakeback.

If you’re new to SpinHub or to EV Pools in general, some of the options might look a little confusing at first. So let’s go through them step by step.

1. Choose your poker room and stake

Start by selecting the poker room and stake you want to calculate.
For above example, we used Winamax and 10s.
The Profit Calculator lets you experiment with different rooms and stakes

2. Enter your cEV and volume

Next, enter your expected cEV and the number of games you want to calculate.
Your cEV is one of the most important numbers in the calculation because it represents your expected performance before taking other factors into account.
You can also change the number of games to see how your expected earnings develop with more volume or on a yearly basis.

For examplec1,000 games → 5,000 games → 10,000 games
This can be a useful way to set realistic volume targets and understand what your current win rate could mean over a larger sample.

3. Add your rakeback

Rakeback is another important part of your overall earnings in Spin & Gos.
If you’re just starting out, you may not have the best rakeback status yet. That’s completely normal. In some cases, it can make sense to accept slightly lower earnings in the short term while putting in the volume required to reach a higher rakeback status.

As your volume increases and your status improves, your rakeback will become a meaningful part of your total earnings.
The exact system depends on the poker room you’re playing on, so make sure you understand how your room’s rakeback program works.

For example, Winamax has different Diamond and Red Diamond statuses, with different requirements, bonuses and mile generation depending on your stake and volume.
Before reaching Diamond 1, statuses from Chrome to Platinum are monthly statuses with relatively low rakeback. From Diamond 1 onward, your status is based on the number of miles accumulated over a rolling 12 month period.

The table below gives an overview of the Winamax Diamond 1-5 and Red Diamond 1-5 status system, including the multiplier for each status, bonus requirements, rakeback %, bonus values and the cash value of accumulated miles.

Looking at your rakeback system in more detail can be worthwhile. Two players with the same cEV and volume can have noticeably different overall earnings simply because they are receiving different amounts of rakeback.

4. What is the SpinHub Pool and what are multiplier allocations?

If you’re new to SpinHub, the idea of an EV Pool might be unfamiliar at first.
The main purpose of the pool is to reduce the variance created by extremely rare high multipliers and make your overall earnings more consistent.

You can think of it as taking EV from a jackpot that may never happen and converting it into a more consistent source of income today. By allocating a percentage of a high multiplier to the pool, you give up that percentage of the potential future jackpot in exchange for receiving your share of its expected value on an ongoing basis.

On Winamax, the €1,000,000 jackpot is distributed between the top three places:

If you have chosen to allocate a percentage of the jackpot to the pool, that percentage applies to whatever jackpot prize you receive.

For example, with a 10% jackpot allocation, winning €800,000 would mean €80,000 is allocated to the pool. If you finished second and received €120,000, the same 10% would apply to that.

How does it work with different multipliers?
Not every multiplier is treated the same way.
With Winamax, multipliers from 2x to 20x are allocated to the pool at 100%, meaning these multipliers are fully included in the pool and are not subject to individual allocation adjustments.

For the three larger multiplier categories, players have different allocation options:
JackPot: 0%; 5%; 10%; 20%
x1000: 0%; 25% 50%
x100: 0%; 50%; 80%; 100%

This gives players some flexibility in deciding how much of the very rare multipliers they want to retain for themselves versus how much they want to contribute to the pool.

For players who want to reduce variance even further, it is also possible to increase the allocation of the x1,000 and Jackpot multipliers beyond the standard options by providing an additional security deposit.

So when using the Profit Calculator, the allocation percentages you enter represent how much of these potential multiplier winnings you are choosing to allocate to the pool.

5. Choosing your multiplier allocations

The Profit Calculator lets you enter the multiplier allocation percentages you want to use and see how they affect your expected earnings.

If you’re new to SpinHub, head over to the How It Works section.

There you’ll find the available allocation percentages for the different multipliers and rooms.
You can use those figures as a reference when entering your own assumptions into the Profit Calculator.

6. Experiment with different scenarios

Once you’ve entered your numbers, don’t stop at one calculation.

One of the most useful things about the calculator is being able to change individual variables and see what happens.

For example:

What if I play 3,000 games instead of 5,000?

What if I improve cEV by 1 or 2 points?

What if I reach a higher rakeback status?

What if I change my multiplier allocations?

How much does another 1,000 games add to my expected earnings?

This can give you a much better understanding of where your earnings actually come from.

It also helps put individual improvements into perspective. Increasing your cEV is obviously important, but so are volume, rakeback and the other sources of EV available to you.

Understanding the bigger picture

Your poker results aren’t determined by cEV alone.

A player’s overall expected earnings can be influenced by several different factors:

Performance/skill + Volume + Rakeback + Pool

The exact balance will depend on your stake, poker room, volume and individual circumstances.

That’s why it’s useful to look beyond the number on your poker graph and understand the different components that make up your total expected earnings.

The SpinHub Profit Calculator gives you a simple way to experiment with those numbers and see what different scenarios could look like.

If you’re new to SpinHub, we recommend starting with the How It Works section to understand the pool, available multiplier allocations, then using the Profit Calculator to see how everything translates into potential earnings.

Enter your numbers, test a few different scenarios and see what your Spin & Go grind could look like.

The How It Works section also provides more detailed information, explanations and instructions on other aspects of the SpinHub Pool. If you’re new to SpinHub, we recommend taking some time to read through it to get a better understanding of how everything works.
