First off – massive congratulations!
What a legendary moment.
Can you tell us how long you’ve been playing Spin & Go`s, and how long you’ve been grinding at the €50 stake level?
I started playing spins around 2021 and €50 spins game count was only about 6000 games, so hitting the jackpot at this stake was even more unexpected.
What was your biggest score before hitting this jackpot? Whether in spins or overall poker — did anything come remotely close to this?
My biggest win before this was a 1000x at the €25 limit, I also had some very over EV results where I had solid 10k net won/month.
How many tables were you playing when the jackpot hit? And did you immediately shift focus — maybe move to a push/fold game on other tables to zone in fully on JP
Just started the session and was playing only two tables. As soon as the jackpot hit, I basically started pushing random hands on the other table just to finish it quickly and focus fully on the jackpot game!
When you saw the “€1,000,000” pop up — what was your first reaction? Was there a spike of adrenaline or a heart-rate explosion?
I was very surprised, because I never chased or concentrated on jackpots, but at the same time, I stayed calm, because I knew winning wasn’t guaranteed. Once we got to heads-up, though, the adrenaline really kicked in and I felt my heart rate
Hand 8 was a big turning point. You limp with pocket fives, and you hit a set — and then quads by the river! Opponent jams and he is left with just 0.2 BB – that is almost GTD money jump from €80k to €120k, plus a big chip lead. What went through your head at that moment? Relief? Excitement? Calm execution?
After winning that big stack, it actually made me more nervous. I suddenly felt pressure and expectations, like I had to win now. The calmness was gone and my heart started pounding, especially knowing how massive the jump was between 2nd and 1st place
By Hand 10, you’re heads-up with a ~2:1 chip lead and €160,000 locked. How were you feeling going into the final battle? Confident vs a rec?
I wouldn’t say I felt confident. Even with the chip lead, we were quite shallow, so every hand was hard. I kept hoping the recreational player will play passively preflop and not turn into an overly aggressive preflop maniac 😄
Hand 21 was a sweat! All-in with K2 vs KJ and the board runs out for a chop. You were one card away from giving up the chip lead. Was that the most intense moment of the game?
Probably, yeah. Those final two hands were the most intense part of the whole game, It’s hard to see when you’re all-in.
And then the final hand: Q8s vs AQ… 8 on the flop, scary turn but ultimately clean runout, and boom — €800,000! What were your immediate thoughts right after the win? Did it feel real?
I didn’t jump up or something, it was just a lot of thoughts in my head. I was just calm and happy
Will we see you moving up in stakes soon? What’s next for your poker journey?
I won’t be diving deeper into poker, at least now it’s not my priority. I have plans to take a break and spend more time on other things I wanted to do.
And last but not least… What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to buy, that you’re now finally going to treat yourself to? Whether it’s a dream trip, a car, a fancy watch — or just a lifetime supply of coffee, we wanna know!
Don`t have one specific thing I always dreamed of buying, but of course I will allow myself to buy a nicer car 🙂 Obviously, the most important things are that money has given me more freedom, more opportunities, and an overall improved quality of life, and that’s amazing
